How to Enter:

  • Elimination Round: Tuesday, September 16th 2025 at 8pm ET

    RULES

  • There will be 4 rounds total. Rounds 2, 3, and 4 will feature a different category and be selected live before each of those rounds. Please read the categories below and submit one mashup for each category:

  • CATEGORY 1

    • Free for all, any genre goes. This mashup will be played on September 16th for the elimination round.

  • CATEGORY 2

    • Hype us up! Any genre goes, but the goal is to bring high energy!

  • CATEGORY 3

    • Old school versus new school. Create a mashup including one song that was released before 2000, and another song that was released after 2010.

  • CATEGORY 4

    • The cateogry is “these tracks don’t belong together”. Create a mashup including two tracks that the audience wouldn’t ever expect to hear together.

  • CATEGORY 5

    • Tiebreaker free-for-all. If you are involved in a tiebreaker, this track will be played.

  • If you do not submit tracks following these guidelines, your submission will be disqualified.

  • Each mashup may only include two songs. Any genre of music can be used. You can use stems and mix the track however you’d like. NO SCRATCHING.

  • Each mashup must only be 35 seconds MAX

  • File submissions must be .mp3 or .wav files

  • Please name your files according to the naming convention provided in the google form (IE: YourDJName_Category_1)

  • The deadline to submit your mashups is Sunday, September 14th, 2025 at 11:59PM ET.

  • There will be a live audience voting for the winner of each round of the competition. The audience will be reminded to vote based on the categories above.

  • All rounds will be streamed live via DJ LiftOFF’s YouTube Channel

Mashup Battle Details

Tues Sept 16th 2025 at 8PM ET

The first round of eliminations start on this day. There will be 16 rounds played - 16 DJs move on, and 16 DJs will be eliminated. All DJs will be placed in a wheel and will be randomly selected live for their 1v1.

Tues Sept 23rd, 2025 at 8PM ET

The final round of eliminations start on this day with the final 16 DJs facing off 1v1 in a bracket-style tournament to determine the winner.

 FAQs

  • There will be 32 DJs. Once 32 DJs have submitted their mashups, submissions will be closed.

  • The competition will be streamed live on DJ LiftOFF's YouTube Channel, live each week. Follow DJ LiftOFF on instagram to receive the links the day of each round.

  • Before and during the battle, DJ LiftOFF will provide a link for viewers to vote live for their favorite mashups! The DJ with the most votes during each round will move to the next round.

  • September 14th at 11:59PM ET for the upcoming battle OR until submissions are full.
